On Monday, April 7, the U.S. Energy Information Administration will begin the staged release of the complete Annual Energy Outlook 2014.

Newell is a professor of energy and environmental economics at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment and director of the Duke University Energy Initiative. He was head of the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the agency responsible for official U.S. government energy statistics and analysis, from 2009 to 2011.

Monast's research focuses on the intersection of state and federal energy policies, regulatory options for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and the intersection of financial markets and climate policy.
